The Women Entrepreneurs Making Tracks in the Ski Industry

Photo from Half Days

The ski industry has long been defined by a homogeneous, predominantly male culture, often criticized for its lack of commitment to gender equity. However, a new wave of energy is emerging within women's ski culture, changing this narrative. On the media front, several major ski publications, including SKI and The Ski Journal, are led by women editors who are amplifying diverse voices within the skiing community. A fresh generation of female filmmakers is also making their mark with narrative-driven films like Nexus and Advice for Girls, showcasing all-women casts. Veronica Paulsen’s daring attempt at a double backflip into Corbet’s Couloir during Kings & Queens —a highly visible ski competition—further highlights the growing visibility of women in the sport.

In addition, a new cohort of women entrepreneurs is transforming the future of skiing, bringing innovative ideas and bold designs. These women-led companies are not simply filling a market gap—they’re creating new identities, redefining style, and solving key challenges in the sport. With a focus on performance, inclusivity, and innovative design, they are leaving fresh tracks across the industry. Below, we explore some of the most exciting women-led ski brands to watch.

SENIQ

High Fashion Goes High Altitude

There’s nothing else on the mountain quite like Seniq. Bold color-blocking, razor-sharp designs, and a touch of rebellion—Sceniq is anything but demure.  While the style draws eyes, the technical specs are equally impressive: 20k waterproofing, three-layer construction, and fully taped seams that protect you from the elements. According to the brand, Seniq is for those who enjoy the scenic route. Founder Valentina Thomson is a force, sharing her journey and her vision in a refreshingly modern and open way. This is a journey we’re excited to watch!

Half Days

Goodbye Boys’ Club

Half Days is bringing good ol’ fashioned fun back to skiing with one simple idea: skiing should feel approachable, not intimidating. Founded by a former Olympian, this brand ditches the “go big or go home” vibe in favor of a low-key ski date– and everyone’s invited. The performance outerwear includes belted jackets, retro-silhouettes, and an on-trend colour palette. Half Days manages a slack channel to connect like-minded skiers, doing overtime to create a community who ski together IRL- whether that be a half day or an all-out powder day.
