Wild Rye x Smith Collaborate on Women’s Bike Capsule Collection

Wild Rye and Smith, two iconic brands with deep roots in Sun Valley, Idaho, are teaming up to honour the spirit of women’s cycling with a special capsule collection of women’s technical cycling apparel, helmets, and performance eyewear for Spring/Summer 2025. The collection is an ode to their hometown, to the surrounding mountains, and to community spirit. Wild Rye is a values-led brand dedicated to supporting women’s rights while designing technical apparel that supports women’s experiences in the mountains.

Wild Rye x Smith Collection

With designs that span mountain biking and gravel riding, this collaboration blends Wild Rye’s iconic bike apparel with a few of Smith’s best-known products: the mountain-specific Forefront 3 helmet and the best-selling Network road helmet, along with the ever-popular Bobcat sunglasses. Key Wild Rye pieces include the Lil’ Party Shirt, Frankie Bike Short, Gem Distance Jersey, Alyssa Stash Chammy, Galena Bike Gloves, Pungo Cap, and Wild Rye Bike Socks. The jewel and pastel-toned collection features an exclusive, illustrated pattern that pays homage to the shared Idaho roots of both brands.

Cassie Abel, CEO of Wild Rye, spent part of her career at Smith, making this collaboration a full-circle moment for her. “Wild Rye and Smith both have roots deeply planted in Sun Valley, Idaho, and our shared origin in this small, vibrant town has shaped who we are today,” said Cassie Abel, founder and CEO of Wild Rye. “Wild Rye was built on empowering women to do things differently, a lesson I first learned during my time at Smith, where I saw the power of thinking outside the box and challenging the status quo. This collaboration is a celebration of both where we started and the journey we’ve taken since, and no better partner exists for this project than Smith, whose decades-long commitment to innovation has resulted in products that fuel adventure and create lasting experiences.”
